Admission

For one to be admitted for any course;

1 He needs to apply for the course.

2. The applicant will be registered for free and interview scheduled.

3. The applicant will undergo an interview of which if successful , he will become eligible to undertake the applied course.

4. An admission letter will be issued with the list of requirements for the particular course.

List of requirements for Different Courses

1. Payments

Money which should be deposited in Eastlands college of Technology Account. The deposit slip should then be forwarded to the accounts office. No cash payments will be acceptable in the college.

2. Course Requirements

(a). Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Technology (DEEE)

The student will be required to pay a minimum deposit on commencement for the course that will cater for commitment fee, caution money (refundable), dressing standard and part of payment is registration fee for the examining body (KNEC). Dressing standard will include an overall, polo shirt, trouser and dust coat.

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate with a minimum pass of C plain or its equivalence. Also C plain in cluster subjects that is Mathematics, English and Physics or Physical Science.

Copy of Birth certificate, National ID or Passport.

The student will be required to come with the following items. (Drawing equipment (drawing set, set square (45° and 35°), T-square, pencils (2H, HB)).

Electrical tools and equipment (digital multi meter, screw driver set, multi purpose pliers, face tester, solder sucker, soldering iron, project board).

Mathematical tools (calculator at least a Casio fx115m and above, SMP advanced tables).

(b). Certificate in Electrical and Electronics Technology (CEET)

The student will be required to pay minimum deposit on commencement for the course that will cater for commitment fee, caution money (refundable), dressing standard and part payment of the registration fee for the examining body (KNEC). Dressing standard will include an overall, polo shirt, trouser and dust coat.

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate with a minimum pass of D plain or its equivalence. Also C plain in cluster subjects that is Mathematics, English and Physics or Physical Science.

(c). Diploma in Information Communication Technology Technician (DICT)

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an average aggregate of at least C plus (C+) provided that the applicant obtained a minimum grade of (C+) in both English and Mathematics. Also, Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO principal passes provided the applicant has credits in English and Mathematics is allowed.

KASNEB Technician or Professional Examination Certificate.

Degree from a recognized University.

Other qualifications or Diplomas as may be approved by KASNEB.

Minimum deposit on commencement of the course that will cater for commitment fee (refundable), dressing standard and KASNEB registration fee. Dressing standard includes 1 polo shirt, 1 trouser, 1 dust coat.

(d). YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (YEP)

Minimum requirement for Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) is Secondary School Mock result slip or KCSE mock result slip.

(e). Informal Sector Business institute (ISBI)

For one to join Informal Sector Business Institute (ISBI), he should be an entrepreneur or a prospective entrepreneur.
